From the Archives

In the Long Island Advance, the local newspaper in Patchogue, NY, there is a weekly section titled "From the Archives of The Long Island Advance". On this page they list short news clips from 100, 75, and 50 years ago. It is interesting because sometimes they mention the important people and places in Patchogue's history, but mostly I think it's interesting because of how mundane some of the news is. So here is my forum to share these news clips which are humorously unnoteworthy.
